J SOUL BIOGRAPHY @dbanjfellaz

J. Sol, named Jason Lopez, has vocally gained the respect of music critics, music producers, established artists and fans. This powerful R&B singer is strongly argued the most sought after unreleased entertainer in the New York tri-state area. The 25 year old veteran was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York on the streets of Flatbush Avenue.

His life experiences have personally contributed to his signature sound, combining passion and truth. As a music connoisseur he has developed a unique understanding of all music genres. This has translated into a vast repertoire of unforgettable tracks ranging from smooth R&B hits to pulsating club bangers. He was introduced to the art form at an early age by Family and friends. Other major influences include Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, John Lennon, and James Taylor. In 2005, J. Sol relocated to Atlanta, Georgia during a collaborative project with multi-platinum music producer Focus of Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment. Their alliance birthed songs like My Life, Times R Hard, BK Anthem and Born to Love You.

His debut release, Born to Love You, caught the attention of radio and television personality Wendy Williams. She was inclined to place this single in rotation. As a result of this radio exposure, he gained the attention of Funk Master Flex of Hot 97 (NYC) and Cipha Sounds, VP of Jay-Z’s world music label Roc la familia. After countless radio requests and deserved popularity among local listeners, he was signed to Cipha Sounds’ production company, Jack Move Inc. Recently he has been seen doing background vocals for R&B sensation Neyo, and has made appearances on Jay Leno, Regis & Kelly, and the Craig Ferguson Show. The evolution of J. Sol has birthed music in its purist form.

He continues to showcase his lyrical talent in his debut album entitled “Truth B Sol “. His prolific message is enlightening and his melodies are contagious. Although his writing skills make him powerful, his delivery makes him unforgettable.
